HAPPY SWEET 16

Paprika and Cinnamon turned sixteen today.  I can hardly believe it.  The past sixteen years have been absolutely wonderful.  I looked through old pictures today which stirred so many fun and happy memories.  I thought I would share some with you.

Thank you girls, for being you......I have loved every moment!

  1. Happy Sweet Sixteen!!

I didn't realize your girls are twins. I have twins, too—a boy and girl, age 4!

  2. Happy birthday to my favorite teenagers on the planet. :) You girls are such wonderful role models for my girls. What fun to look through all these darling pictures! In some of the early ones, we can't tell who is who! Praying that your day is blessed and beautiful!

    Love!

  4. Hi Sheila,

Well, it has been 2 weeks since my doctor suggested a gluten- and dairy-free diet. And to be honest, I think I'm just coming to terms with it. Up until this week, I didn't really try that hard. But the past couple of days have been better. I am trying to remind myself of what a drastic change this is and that it won't happen overnight. But I do want to feel better, so I am giving it a try. I even converted a traditional Chicken Tetrazzini recipe last night to be completely GF and DF, and my entire family loved it! Yeah!!

Anyway, I hope you don't mind me asking a few more questions.

    1) What items do you buy online? I know you are re-evaluating that based on your budget ... But what are the definite best-buys online?

    2) Do you shop weekly or monthly? I go weekly, but my main store doesn't carry a lot of GF options. Other stores (like Trader Joe's) do, but they can be a tad more expensive. and I know I am over budget already. I'd like to get better ...

    3) You said your family enjoys pumpkin pie; mine, too. Have you tried baking a GF & DF one yet? Just curious =)

It does feel a bit "lonely" on this journey, so I am grateful to have found your blog! it is so encouraging! Thank you!

    Blessings,
    Sarah
